Product Review: Minute Maid Soft Frozen Orangeade

Kroger on S. Roxboro in Durham had Minute Maid Soft Frozen Orangeade and Lemonade on clearance at only $1.99 for a package of 4. So I purchased two packages of frozen orangeade and thought I would give them a try. They still had several packages left when I was done shopping, so you may be lucky and find some on clearance at your local Kroger store.

At only 100 calories per serving, this is a nice snack for hot summer days and for that price, you cannot beat the offer. So what is the verdict? I like them. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the flavor and really like the soft frozen consistency.

The soft frozen consistency makes it easy to spoon out of the package, even with a plastic spoon and the flavor is true to what you expect from Minute Maid Orangeade slowly frozen to an ice cream / sorbet-like consistency. It was refreshing and did the job of cooling me down after having worked in the yard for about an hour.

Smart of Kroger to put these on clearance right now and good decision to buy two packages right away. Now we are set for about a week since we have temperatures in the high 80s and need cooling off, even with the AC running.
