This is a great book, although I believe at least one of the stories may have been published already in another book.
It is compilation of 4 stories that all focus on romance and where it finds different people at different stages in life. in Rooted in Love, Rosemary is a very good at running a household, but so far love has not found her or more like she has not given love a chance. There is a secret that prevents Rosemary from agreeing to courting Saul, despite Saul making it clear that he never stopped loving her since they were teenagers and one day Rosemary ended their relationship. The story involves a secret that Saul has to convince Rosemary to let go in order for their love to have a chance.
In the next story, a Love for Irma Rose, Irma Rose has to choose between two men, the dating Jonas, who is wild, exciting, but also dangerous or date a mean that would be considered the wise choice and a good catch. A similar story is described in Patchwork Perfect, but her Eli, a young widower, is pursued by two women who want to marry him. Only to have Eli fall in love with a third woman, who has no plans on getting married.
The last story is "When Christmas comes again" and describes the first Christmas as a widow for Katherine. But a strange visitor, who also knew her husband, brings the promise that life will still remain what it used to be and Katherine will find some happiness over the holidays.
The books are told from very different angles and describe different aspects of love. All describe wholesome people that have problems, but approach the problems with a positive outlook overall on life and knowing that things will look up again. Overall, this book is a collection of peaceful stories that bring a nice diversion to a weekend, when the cold weather outside, makes reading a book a fun and cozy thing to do.
